Adele Walach - Cumberland

Adele (Orzechowski) Walach, 96, of 1 Mendon Road passed away Friday May 16, 2014 at the Grandview Center. She was the beloved wife of the late John M. Walach.

Born in Central Falls she was a daughter of the late John and Agata (Gorlowska) Orzechowski. She lived in Cumberland for the past 63 years.

Before retiring in 1982, Adele was employed by the Ann & Hope Store of Cumberland for 12 years as a sales clerk. She was a member of the St. Joseph’s Church Holy Rosary Society.

Mrs. Walach is survived by her loving family, one daughter, Barbara T. Cullen and her husband John of Lincoln; one son, Michael J. Walach and his wife Jean of San Carlos, Calif., and five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Sophie Hebner, Anita Brzostecki, Rose Tamul, Stanley and Paul Orzechowski.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at 8:30 a.m. from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home, 342 High Street, Central Falls, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, 391 High Street, Central Falls at 10 a.m. CALLING HOURS TUESDAY FROM 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
