Imelda R. St. Jean - Cumberland

Imelda R. (Ledoux) St. Jean, 99, passed away Monday, May 26 in the Grandview Nursing Center, Cumberland, R.I. She was the beloved wife of Adelard “Eddy” St. Jean.

Born in Woonsocket she was the daughter of the late Moise and Marie (Roussel) Ledoux. She resided in Cumberland for the past five years, previously residing at Lincoln Manor for more than 30 years and in Central Falls and Pawtucket.

She leaves three children, Ruth Degre of Pawtucket, Adelard “Del” St. Jean and his wife Priscilla of Cumberland and Rita Correia and her husband Bruce of Lincoln; and 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was also the sister of the late Alice Riendeau Morse and Doris Bonin. Late sons-in-law were Raymond R. Degre and Jacques R. Guenette and late grandsons, Raymond D. and Roland R. Degre.

She enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was an avid bingo player.

A celebration of her life will be held Friday, May 30 at 9 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rte. 122, Cumberland, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
