Ernest H. Martineau – Dalton, N.H.

Ernest H. Martineau, 80, of Landry Road, Dalton, N.H., died Saturday, May 27, 2017, at the Littleton Regional Hospital.

Ernest was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island on September 9, 1936, the son of Ernest J and Lillian (Paulette) Martineau. He was the youngest of seven children.

Raised in Woonsocket, Ernie attended Mount Saint Charles Academy. For a time he served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was employed for 40 years at Kilmartin Industries (Roger Williams Mint), in North Attleboro, Mass., and retired as plant manager. After retirement he moved to Dalton where he built his own home and enjoyed his remaining years woodworking and spending time with his family.

Surviving family members include his wife of 49 years, Sara (Paulding) Martineau of Dalton; his daughter Michelle Martineau of Bellingham, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews who know him as “Uncle Junior." He was predeceased by his six siblings.

At Ernie’s request there will be no services.
