Delossantos records second win of boxing career at Twin River

LINCOLN – Pawtucket featherweight Ricky Delossantos followed up his four-round unanimous-decision victory in his pro debut in April with another four-round triumph in last Friday’s Classic Entertainment & Sports boxing show at the Twin River Event Center, as the 27-year-old fighter beat New Jersey’s Malcolm Simms by scores of 39-36, 38-37, and 38-37.

The former Tolman High basketball and baseball standout, who posted an 11-2 record as an amateur, sent Simms (0-1-1) to the canvas with an overhand right in the second round and controlled the final two rounds.
