Concert scheduled to celebrate summer reading

GLOCESTER – The Glocester libraries will kick off the 2017 Summer Reading Program with a concert on Tuesday, June 20, at 4:30 p.m. at the new Pavilion at Kent Field, 111 Putnam Pike, Chepachet. If it rains, the kickoff program will take place at the Glocester Senior Center.

Families of all ages are invited to a performance by the Rhythm Room. Performers will use percussion, a drum set, and buckets. Children will also get involved using their bodies for percussion as well as other objects.

Signups for the Summer Reading Program begin at 4 p.m., with the performance beginning at 4:30 p.m.
