Fecteau: Thanks again, Pawtucket

Fecteau: Thanks again, Pawtucket

Yet again, we came up short, but we ran an amazing campaign against impossible odds. Without your grassroots support and help, we wouldn’t have made as much progress as we did. I want to thank the members of my community for hearing what I had to say even if we disagreed. I would also like to congratulate Ms. Sandra Cano. I am proud to endorse her as the Democratic candidate; she will make a great senator.

In this coming April election, we have some great candidates such as Democrat Ms. Cano, and Republican Mr. Nathan Luciano – both of whom I call friends. Both are excellent choices to represent Pawtucket in the Senate. We should be so honored to have such amazing people running for public office at a time like this.

With that being said, we must be leery of candidates who use smear tactics, cheesy hashtags, and rhetoric to cater to the fringe in our society. It is very easy to attack candidates and ideas while offering no compelling alternative. Thankfully, that ideology was resoundingly defeated this election.

I have never been more proud to be from Pawtucket, and I am just so grateful for this amazing experience. Thank you all so much my friends. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to call or write me.
