DEDHAM, Mass. – After reaching the NEPSAC (New England Preparatory School Athletic Council) tournament in all six of her seasons at the Pomfret School, three times each in soccer and basketball, Lincoln native Chrissy Bacon was finally part of a NEPSAC championship team with the Connecticut school, as her girls' basketball team posted a 42-30 victory over Williston-Northampton in Sunday afternoon's Class B title game at Noble & Greenough School.

Bacon, who will be continuing her soccer and academic career at Division I Wagner College in the fall, contributed six points, six assists, and five rebounds in the victory. She also had big games in Pomfret's 44-38 victory at home over the Pingree School in the quarterfinals and 75-50 upset win over the second-seeded St. George's School in the semifinals in Newport.

This was Bacon’s second NEPSAC championship game. Pomfret suffered a double-overtime loss to Thayer Academy in last November's soccer finals.
