Raymond P. Letellier – Cumberland

Raymond P. Letellier, 74, formerly of Cumberland, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018, in the Miriam Hospital, Providence, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his identical twin brother, Richard Letellier, with whom he resided.

Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Raymond and Rolande (Daigneault) Letellier. He resided in Pawtucket for the past four years, previously residing in Cumberland for most of his life.

Alongside his brother, Mr. Letellier served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. The only time the two brothers were ever seperated was during combat when one would be in a "safe zone" and the other on the front lines.

Mr. Letellier was employed as truck driver for the A .T. Cross Company for 25 years, previously employed at Ann & Hope Inc. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Valley Falls Fire Department in the 1970s.

He was a communicant of the St. Aidan Church, Cumberland. Among many interests which include gardening, fishing, boating, and woodworking, Ray most loved his dogs. He also would travel to the family home in New Hampshire where he spent some time camping through the years.

Besides his twin, he leaves his other siblings, Ronald Letellier and his wife, Linda, of Cumberland; Paulette Proulx of Cumberland; Claudette Roy and her husband, Dennis, of New Jersey and Thomas Letellier of Attleboro, Mass.; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the brother-in-law of the late Maurice Proulx and Diane Letellier.

Relatives and friends are invited to Ray's Life Celebration beginning with visiting hours on Thursday, March 15, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., in the St. Aidan Church, 1460 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Buriall will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
