Earth Day cleanup effort planned for April 21

PAWTUCKET – The Pawtucket/Central Fall Earth Day Cleanup, sponsored by the Neighborhood Alliance of Pawtucket and Pawtucket Housing Authority, will be held Saturday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Refreshments and entertainment will happen at Galego Court, 483 Weeden St., starting at 1 p.m. A paper-making artist will be in the community room at 11:30 a.m.

The following are the sites:

• Moshassuck River cleanup, meet at Galego Court

• Blackstone River Watershed Council canoes, meet at Tolman High School, 150 Exchange St., to clean up the Blackstone

• Prospect cleanup and planting, at 560 Prospect St.

• 10 Mile River Council, meet at Daggett Field

• Boy Scouts, meet at San Antonio Way

• Blackstone Academy, meet on Pleasant Street

• Anchor Recovery, meet at Main Street, Barton Street and Slater Mill

• And Fairlawn Against Crime Team, meet at Nathanael Greene Elementary School on Smithfield Avenue.
