Annual Clean & Green Day set for April 28

Annual Clean & Green Day set for April 28

NORTH SMITHFIELD - The town’s annual Clean & Green Day will be held on Saturday, April 28.

Scout troops and students are able to earn community service hours. Local businesses can show their support by forming a work team or becoming a sponsor. Funds go directly to purchase needed T-shirts and supplies that allow our volunteers to stay safe while doing the best job possible.

Volunteers can pre-register for the event by using the Clean & Green link available at www.nsmithfieldri.org, and choose to adopt an open cleanup location if preferred. Registration is also available the morning of the event, between 8-9am at Halliwell School, 358 Victory Highway Slatersville RI. If you have pre-registered, please check in before 8:40, so your chosen site is not reassigned to another group.

Trash bags, a limited supply of gloves and bright volunteer t-shirts will be provided. Enjoy free coffee and donuts before setting out to your adopted area. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own work gloves and a re-fillable water bottle to reduce trash generated from the event. Clean-up time runs from 9am to about Noon.

Donations can be made to “Town of North Smithfield/Clean & Green Day” P.O. Box 248, Slatersville, RI 02876. Sponsors are recognized on our website, at our registration site and in the media. See the C&G Sponsor Letter on our website.
