Pawtucket police investigating pair of shootings

PAWTUCKET – Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding two shootings in the city on Friday, May 11.

At around 9 p.m. the Pawtucket Police Department responded to Kepler St. for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found an 18-year-old male victim who had been shot in the arm. The victim was transported by rescue to Rhode Island Hospital where he is recovering.

A short time later, officers responded to another call for shots fired at 60 Columbia Ave. Officers saw several shell casings on the ground in front of the home and one bullet hole in the house. There were no injuries reported.

Detectives responded and are currently investigating both incidents. At this time it is unknown if the incidents are related. Anyone with any information about either one of them is asked to call Det. David Silva at 401-727-9100 ext. 760.
