GACS to host Stiftungsfest and Spring Polka Dance

PAWTUCKET – The German American Cultural Society, 78 Carter Ave., announces the following events.

A Stiftungsfest (Founders Day) celebration will be held on Saturday, May 19, from 7 to 11 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by Alpenblumen Musikanten and Alpenblumen Schuhplattler.

The menu will feature an authentic German meal of Rindergoulasch with Eiernudeln and Rotkohl (beef goulash with egg noodles and red cabbage).

Dinner is $15 and served in the Ratskeller from 6 to 7 p.m.

Tickets are $10 at the door / $8 in advance at the GACSRI Ratskeller or by contacting Justin at 401-419-6223 or pennywhistle@fullchannel.net.

A Spring Polka Dance will be held on Sunday, May 20, from 2 to 6 p.m. Food will be available at 1 p.m.

Music will be provided by Eastern Sound. Tickets are available by mail for $15 or at the door. Table reservations are taken for 8-10 settings.
