Julia S. Bucko

Julia S. Bucko, 99, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, in the Mt. St. Rita Health Center, Cumberland. She was the wife of the late Joseph S. Bucko.

Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Sophie (Baron) Marek. She was a lifelong resident of Cumberland.

She was a line worker for many years employed by the former Paramount Co., South Attleboro, Mass., and formerly employed by the Sidney Blumenthal Co., Cumberland.

Mrs. Bucko was a member of the Polish Ladies Society and the Senior Citizens of South Attleboro. She enjoyed spending time with her family and also took pride in cooking and baking for family get-togethers and holidays.

She is survived by her grandchildren David Connors, Karen Bodell, and Janice Connors-Bramble and her husband, William; and one great-grandson, Nicholas Bramble. She was the sister of Stacia Barac, Helen Matisewski and Brother Louis Marek, SA., and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Carolyn A. Connors, and sister of the late Joseph Marek, Frederick Marek and Louis Marek.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland, RI 02864.
