Richard A. Andrews – Lincoln

Richard A. Andrews, 77, of Lincoln, passed peacefully on Thursday, March 21, 2019. He was the husband of the late Carole (Rivard) Andrews.

Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late John and Flora (Butters) Andrews. He was a lifelong resident of Lincoln.

He attended Central Falls High School before entering the Air Force. Before retirement, he was employed as a truck driver and a machinist.

Mr. Andrews was a volunteer coach for Lincoln Little League for over 20 years, even after his children aged out of the league. He was a member of several bowling leagues, and he enjoyed playing cards and golf with his friends. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He was a member of the Greystone Social Club and the Smithfield Lodge of Elks #2359.

He is survived by his sister, Marjorie Campbell, of Colorado; children Timothy Andrews of Providence, Mark Andrews of Lincoln, and Kelly Labossiere and her husband, Christopher, of Lincoln; and several nieces and nephews. He was the beloved “Papa” to his grandchildren Jonathan and Alicia Andrews and Alexa and Charlotte Labossiere, and great-granddaughter Skye Andrews.

Richard was the brother of the late Gordon, Howard, Kenneth, Donald, and David Andrews, and Bonnie Laliberte. He was the father of the late Kyle Andrews.

Calling hours were held on Sunday, March 24, at Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln. A Mass of Christian Burial, to which family and friends are invited, will be celebrated on Monday, March 25, 2019, at 10 a.m., in Saint Jude Church, 301 Front St, Lincoln, R.I. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, R.I.
