Virginia L. Perry - Lincoln

Virginia L. (Poyas) Perry, 90, of Lincoln passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Oliver H. J. Perry II. They were married for 66 years.

Born in East Providence, a daughter of the late James E. and Victoria L. (Jordan) Poyas, she had lived in Lincoln for the past 66 years.

Virginia graduated from East Providence High School and Bryant College. She was the Secretary and Treasurer for Perry Excavating in Lincoln for 27 years. She was also a secretary for Edwards & Angell, Providence, retiring in 1987.

She is survived by her loving children, Nancy D. Perry, Harold E. Perry and his wife Elaine, Oliver H. J. Perry Jr. and his wife, Jo-Anne, and Martha P. Punchak and her husband, Alex, all of Lincoln, and Debby McDevitt and her husband Jack of Gilford, N.H.; her six beloved grandchildren; her seven beloved great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alice Smith and Shirley Barks.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service SATURDAY, JANUARY 4, 2014, at 1 P.M. at Lime Rock Baptist Church, 1075 Great Road, Lincoln. Burial will be private.
