Norman L. Jacques - Cumberland

Norman L. Jacques, 77, of Clearwater, Fla., and formerly of Cumberland, passed away Sunday, May 25th.

He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Bernardi) Jacques. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Phillipe C. and Alice (Demers) Jacques.

Norman had one of the longest tenures at Hasbro, Inc., Pawtucket, who dedicated 46 years of his career to Hasbro Inc. He developed a formula for G.I. Joe’s scale that was used to make all of the vehicles and accessories of the action figure. He worked directly on G.I. Joe’s Sea Sled with Frogmen set and developed the Jeep's trailer from start to finish. He was the Director of Packaging.

Besides his wife he leaves a son, Kevin D. Jacques and a daughter, Karen S. Grant, both of Cumberland. He also leaves a sister, Jeannette Aubin of Texas, and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

His funeral, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held Saturday, June 14, 2014, at 10 a.m. in St. John Vianney Church, 3609 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. Guest Book:
