Marguerite T. "Mem" St. Sauveur – Cumberland

Marguerite T. "Mem" St. Sauveur, 95, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the Phillip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Jubert J. St. Sauveur Jr. They were married for 50 years.

Born in North Smithfield, she was the daughter of the late Napoleon and Florida (Dufresne) Boucher. Mrs. St. Sauveur resided in Cumberland for the past 63 years.

She attended the Cumberland Senior birthday celebration every year at the Cumberland Senior Center since her 90th birthday.

Marguerite was affectionately known as "Mem" to all.

She loved to cook and bake and especially loved to go out to eat. Mem enjoyed long rides with her family. She always kept busy right to the end.

She was a machine operator for more 20 years at the former Peterson Puritan, Cumberland, until her retirement in 1986.

She is survived by her two daughters; Pauline Dufault (Ron) of Cumberland, and Lorraine Belleville of Cumberland. Three grandchildren; Denise Dufault, Ronald Dufault Jr., Thomas Belleville Jr. (Chrissy McCarthy); one great-granddaughter, Morgan Licht; several nieces and nephews and beloved dog "Pee Wee." She was the grandmother of the late Danielle Belleville and Kaitlin (Belleville) Licht. She was also the sister of the late Aline Boucher, Jeannette Boucher, Simone (Boucher) St. Sauveur, Lillian Boucher, Violet (Boucher) St. Sauveur, Lucille (Boucher) Salois, Raymond Boucher, Armand Boucher and Baby Boucher.

Relatives and friends are invited to Marguerite's Life Celebration beginning with visiting hours on Sunday, March 10, 2019, from noon to 3 p.m., in J.J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Route 122, Cumberland. A prayer service will be held at 3 p.m. Burial will be held on Monday, March 11, 2019, at 10 a.m., in the R.I. Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Terry Kiley (Mem's caregiver). Mem enjoyed Terry's company sharing stories of her past.
