Two men wanted by police for separate weekend incidents

LINCOLN – Lincoln Police are seeking information from the public on the whereabouts of two men suspected of separate alleged crimes occurring over the weekend.

The first individual wanted by Lincoln Police is Jason Cook, a 44-year old male with no current residence of record, who is wanted for the kidnapping and assault of a 48-year-old woman outside of Twin River Casino.

The victim reported on Sunday morning that she had been the victim of a domestic assault and kidnapping that had occurred overnight in the parking lot of the casino, inside the victim’s RV.

According to police the victim and Cook, her boyfriend, had returned to the RV around 7 p.m. after attending a concert at the casino. Police said Cook, who had reportedly consumed a large amount of alcohol, began to become “argumentative and aggressive.”

At one point, Cook allegedly struck the victim in the face with a pair of pliers, continuing to assault her and vandalize several items inside the RV. The victim attempted to leave the RV but was physically stopped by Cook, who locked the door. Police said the ordeal continued for several hours before Cook had the victim drive him to Kennedy Plaza in Providence at 7 a.m., where she dropped him off before responding back to the Lincoln Police Department.

The arrest warrant obtained for Cook includes charges of felony domestic assault, domestic kidnapping, domestic disorderly conduct and domestic vandalism.

Lincoln Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have knowledge on the whereabouts of Jason Cook to contact the Lincoln Police Department at 401-333-1111.

The second individual wanted by Lincoln Police is 22-year-old Gabriel Martinez, of Anthony Street in Providence, who is wanted for a felony domestic assault that occurred on Saturday afternoon.

Prior to police arriving at the scene, the suspect allegedly confronted his ex-girlfriend, a 30-year-old Lincoln resident, when she walked outside of her home on Church Street on Saturday. The victim has previously obtained a no-contact order against Martinez.

When she attempted to retreat back into the house, police said Martinez forced his way inside and began physically assaulting her, reportedly throwing the victim down and attempting to suffocate her using a pillow. The victim began to struggle and scream for help when Martinez eventually took her phone and fled the apartment, according to police.

Martinez left the area in a 2004 Silver Honda bearing R.I. registration #AN-704.

An arrest warrant for Martinez included charges of domestic breaking and entering, domestic larceny, domestic disorderly conduct, violation of a no-contact order and failing to relinquish a telephone.

Anyone having information on the whereabouts of Gabriel Martinez is asked to contact the Lincoln Police at 401-333-1111 or notify their local police department.
