Union Free Library announces programs

NORTH PROVIDENCE – The Union Free Library, 1810 Mineral Spring Ave., announced the following programs.

• Last Friday of the Month Book Club meets Feb. 28, at 11 a.m. Each person shares a short synopsis of a book they have recently read. All are welcome.

• Mystery Book Club meets on the first Tuesday of the month, March 3, at 7 p.m. This month’s mystery read is “Birdman,” by Mo Hayder.

• Messy Makers, for kids ages 2-5 meets Thursdays through March 26 at 10:30 a.m. Join for arts and crafts where making a mess is part of the fun. Registration is required.

• Storybook Theatre, for ages up to grade 5, is held on Thursdays through March 26, at 6:30 p.m. The library provides the picture book and kids will work together to act out the story as it is read. Registration is required.

• Saturday Surprise is held every Saturday through March 28, at 2 p.m. This is a drop-in children’s program that is different every week but will always include at least one read-aloud story. All are welcome.

• Terrific Tuesdays Story time, for ages 2-5, meets Tuesdays through March 24, at 10:30 a.m. Read stories, sing songs and make a craft to take home. Registration is required.

• 3D Pens, for grades 3-5, will be held Tuesday, March 3, at 6:30 p.m. Learn to make 3D objects with 3D pens. Registration is required.

• Wonder Wednesdays Story time, for ages 2-5, meets Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m., through March 25. Read stories, sing songs and make a craft to take home. Registration is required.
