Arthur R "Archie" Crowley – Cumberland

Arthur R "Archie", Crowley, 80, of Cumberland, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020, at the Miriam Hospital, Providence.

He was the husband of Shelvia J. (Gamble) Crowley, and they had been married for the past 58 years.

Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Cornelius and Eva (St.Onge) Crowley. He was a life-long resident of Cumberland.

Following graduation from Cumberland High School, Mr. Crowley entered the United States Army, where he served during the Panama Conflict. Following his honorable and faithful service to our country he returned home and began a life in Cumberland where he resided for the remainder of his life.

Arthur was employed as Industrial Mechanic for the former Peterson Puritan Company for over 20 years, and previously Owens Corning Fiberglass for 25 years.

In addition to his beloved wife, he leaves his sons, Arthur Crowley Jr. of Cumberland, Kenneth Crowley of Cumberland, Keith Crowley of Cranston, R.I., and Joseph Crowley of Johnston; his siblings, David Crowley of Cumberland, Jean Palmer of Cumberland, Beverly Dubois of Cumberland, and Beatrice Vincent of East Providence; as well as many nieces and nephews.

His funeral and burial will be private.
