Wonderbooks now available at Cumberland Public Library

CUMBERLAND – Wonderbooks, a print book with a ready-to-play audiobook inside, are the newest items available for checkout at the Cumberland Public Library, 1464 Diamond Hill Road.

They are now available thanks to a legislative grant sponsored by state Sen. Ryan Pearson.

Just press play to hear a favorite story and there is an audio jack for independent listening. Follow along using the tones that tell you when to turn the page, then switch to learning mode to hear the narrator ask open-ended questions.

Research shows that hearing and seeing words at the same time can improve reading success rates, so Wonderbooks can give kids an edge with vocabulary development, phonics, and comprehension while encouraging deeper engagement with every book.
