Library announces children’s programs

NORTH PROVIDENCE – The North Providence Union Free Library, 1810 Mineral Spring Ave., has announced its children’s programs. Registration is required. Call 401-353-5600, ext 5.

• Curbside Balloon Animals with Jennifer Rolfsema from Creative Chica for all ages on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The program will take place in the North Providence High School Parking lot. Register for a 15-minute time slot to park and have balloon animals made for the family. Space is limited.

• Thursday, Aug. 13, at 11 a.m., a Children’s Outdoor Art Studio for children 8-12 will be held with local artist Sue. Children will paint Pascal from the movie “Tangled.” Tables will be set up outside and will be socially distanced. There is space for 10 children. Call to reserve your spot. All children will need to wear a mask.

Computer usage at the library is by appointment only by calling the Reference Department at 401-353-5600, ext 3.

The library is still offering curbside pickup for patrons Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All patrons entering the building are asked to self-screen for symptoms and must wear a mask.

Materials returned to the library are quarantined for 72 hours. Fines accrued during that time will be waived.
