North Providence Library to launch hoopla app

NORTH PROVIDENCE – The North Providence Library, 1810 Mineral Spring Ave., announces the following.

• The North Providence Library will be launching the hoopla app and services on Monday, March 1, to cardholders from the library. Each patron will be able to enjoy six downloads per month. The digital media services borrowing of movies, music, audiobooks, e-books, comics and TV shows to enjoy on your computer, tablet, phone – and even your TV. Titles can be streamed immediately or downloaded to phones or tablets for offline enjoyment later. Visit the Reference Department for more information.

• Take the North Providence Rhode Island Children’s Book Award Reading Challenge for grades 3-5 through May 15. The challenge encourages kids to read as many of the 2021 nominated books as possible. Kids who read at least five nominated books by May 1 will earn a spot to compete in the 2nd annual North Providence Rooster Games. They can also be entered to win one of three prizes through the library by signing up through Beanstack at https://nplib.beanstackorg/reader365 and logging the nominated books they read.
