Pawtucket police seek suspect in shooting

PAWTUCKET – Police are asking for help in identifying the suspect involved in an April 15 shooting incident on Chaplin Street.

At around 9:51 a.m. that day, police responded to the area of Mendon Avenue at Ordway Street for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, it was learned that a home on Chaplin Street had been shot at. The house was occupied at the time, but no one was injured.

Video surveillance was obtained showing the suspect approach the rear of the house and pull out a dark semi-automatic handgun. The suspect then fired multiple rounds into the house and then fled through the neighbor’s backyard. The suspect appeared to be a male, dark skinned, thin build, and in his late teens to early 30s. He was wearing a black face mask, bright white sneakers, black pants, black hooded sweatshirt with red lettering and a “Freddy Krueger” hand on the back.
